How to Measure

Waist: Measure around the area where the pants are intended to sit. The position may differ for low-, mid-, and high-rise styles.

Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the desired hem.

Choosing the Right Size

For fitted or slim pants, use both waist and hips. If the two measurements correspond to different sizes, choose the size that accommodates the larger measurement.

If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort or the smaller size for a closer fit when the fabric has sufficient stretch.

Fit & Rise

Slim Fit — closer through the hips and legs.
Straight Fit — relatively consistent width from thigh to hem.
Tapered Fit — roomier through the hips/thighs and narrower toward the ankle.
Wide / Relaxed Fit — provides additional room through the hips and legs.

Low Rise, Mid Rise, and High Rise describe where the waistband sits and can affect how the same size feels.

Please Note

Women's pants and chino sizing is not completely standardized between brands. Stretch, rise, cut, waistband construction, and intended fit can all affect sizing.

Use waist and hips as the primary references, with inseam for length.
